Announcements

• Bubba raised $360 in online donations!
• Big thanks to The Mint for donating $155 to us from their last show.
• Our t-shirt design has been selected and $57 was raised.
• The fundraising progress number below does not include the NYC bus trip income. With those numbers, plus what we plan to raise at the comedy show, we will definitely exceed our $5,000 goal!
• Congratulations to all 15 competitors who made it through the 8 weeks of Cut Back for the Cure, JPL United’s first (hopefully annual) weight-loss competition and fundraiser. Thanks to the hard work of all the participants, this event brought in $1,737.50 for JPL United!!!
• JPLers enjoyed the new chili cook-off format. The event brought in over $300.
• The Valentine's Bake Sale was a success! The sale raised over $200.
• The bus trip to NYC on 12/15/07 went very well even with icy weather. The event raised $562.78 for JPL United. Thanks for your support!

Fundraising Progress

JPL United began in 2004 by JPL employees in memory of Joseph Surges, a former co-worker who passed away in December 2003 from brain cancer. We will be participating in the Relay For Life held in Hershey, PA in the summer of 2008. Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of the American Cancer Society.
