Hershey's Track & Field Website and Event Manager

To create an easy-to-use resource for participants, volunteers and parents and empower people planning a Hershey's Track & Field meet to manage and market their event.

As part of a multi-faceted marketing program developed by JPL, we designed a solution to improve event management and encourage participation in all Hershey's Track & Field events. The website provided a must-have tool for event organizers nationwide by delivering all of the resources necessary to plan and host a successful event.
A sophisticated, yet easy-to-use, meet management tool provides customizable flyers, posters, and event forms for each of 1,100 Hershey's Track & Field events. Enforcing the Hershey's Track & Field business rules for local, state, and regional events, all of the meet results leading up to the North American Final Meet become an online resource for the selection of participants. The event manager website also features comprehensive, online training support for the event organizers.
By feeding event information directly to the Hershey's Track & Field public website, the project delivers up-to-date information for the kids participating and their parents. Through the site redesign, the content structure engages event volunteers and meets the needs of all of the target audiences to sustain the phenomenal growth of the Hershey's Track & Field program.
